How It Works

Entry & nomination

The nomination process is being finalised ahead of the first edition. In outline, it will follow four stages:

Submit a Nomination

Practitioners, studios or third parties put forward a project, product or individual for consideration in one or more categories.

Eligibility Review

The FOIS team confirms each entry meets the category criteria and submission requirements before it proceeds to judging.

Panel Judging

Shortlisted entries are assessed by the judging panel against criteria specific to each category.

Shortlist & Winners Announced

Finalists are announced publicly, with winners revealed at the FOIS Awards presentation.

Assessed by peers

Entries will be judged by an international panel of practitioners, editors and educators drawn from across the interior design and built environment sector — assembled specifically for the first edition of the FOIS Awards to ensure a broad, informed and independent view of the work submitted.
