Last updated: September 2026
This Code of Conduct applies to everyone taking part in Future of Interior Spaces spaces, including the FOIS Community, the FOIS Conference, and FOIS Awards — whether interactions take place in person, such as at an event, or online, such as in community channels, comments, or correspondence connected to FOIS.
We want FOIS spaces to be welcoming, professional, and productive for everyone in the interior design industry. We expect everyone to:
The following, among other things, will not be tolerated in FOIS spaces:
Sponsors, exhibitors, and partners at FOIS events are expected to follow this Code of Conduct in the same way as any other participant, including in how they staff booths, run demonstrations, and represent their brand. Promotional material and booth conduct should be professional and free of sexualized or discriminatory content.
If you experience or witness behaviour that concerns you in a FOIS space, please report it to hello@futureofinteriorspaces.com. Please include as much detail as you're comfortable sharing — what happened, when and where, and who was involved — so we can look into it properly. At in-person FOIS events, event staff will be identifiable and available to assist with an immediate concern. We will handle reports as discreetly as the circumstances allow.
We will not tolerate retaliation against anyone who reports a concern in good faith or who cooperates with a review under this Code of Conduct.
Reports are reviewed by FOIS. Depending on the circumstances, this may result in a warning, removal from an event or community space, or exclusion from future FOIS activities, at FOIS's discretion. Where someone is removed from an event under this Code, no refund will be given.
This Code of Conduct may be updated from time to time as FOIS's community, conference, and awards programming grow. The most current version will always be posted here.
This Code of Conduct is issued by Maven School of Interior Decoration and Design, operator of Future of Interior Spaces.
